Master Team AD's Geovanni Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Master Team AD from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ramiro Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Gustavo Araújo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovanni Bastos. The goal made the score 1-0. With an all-out effort, Cupijo's Geovanni Bastos threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustavo Araújo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustavo Araújo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Geovanni Bastos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Flávio Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. César Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Ramiro Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 27 minutes of play, Master Team AD's Luiz Fernando de Queiroz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. César Pombal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Master Team AD booed when Cupijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Luiz Fernando de Queiroz notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Cupijo's César Pombal. César Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Araújo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fernando de Queiroz to make the kick off. Geovanni Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Araújo in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Cupijo booed when Master Team AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes of play, Cupijo's Gustavo Araújo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Bastos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramiro Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Geovanni Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Araújo in the 61st minute of play forced Master Team AD's goalkeeper Geovanni Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Mazinho Leite took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for César Pombal. Cupijo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ramiro Simão scored 4-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th match minute, Master Team AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Leite to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes, Cupijo's Décio Pimenta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovanni Bastos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cupijo reached it. Master Team AD's Geovanni Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Simão in the 77th minute of play. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. César Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Ramiro Simão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cupijo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Geovanni Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Simão in the 89th minute of the match. Ramiro Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Bastos having to interfere.
