Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Arlindo Valadares started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Queirós got free with Carlos Alberto Sousa in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Alberto Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Queirós in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Moisés Vieira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Alberto Sousa. Moisés Vieira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Buturussu FC's Carlos Alberto Sousa threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moisés Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Moisés Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Sousa having to interfere. Lúcio Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carlos Alberto Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauri Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Moisés Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alberto Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo das Neves in the 46th minute of play forced CR Independente's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Peres made a kick off. Teodoro Castro's late challenge caught a Buturussu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes CR Independente got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Castro. Luís Guilherme Queirós took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Alberto Sousa. Carlos Alberto Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in CR Independente's zone, Lúcio Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Sousa came out of the goal and Lúcio Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Moisés Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Buturussu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Vieira couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Carlos Alberto Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Moisés Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buturussu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Diogo das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Sousa having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Vieira in the 81st minute of the match. After 83 minutes CR Independente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caio de Toledo who took care of the corner kick. Caio de Toledo made a great header on Buturussu FC's corner, it was just that CR Independente's Carlos Alberto Sousa managed to reach the ball for a save. CR Independente's Carlos Alberto Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Queirós in the 88th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Queirós in the 90th minute of the match. Moisés Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Luís Guilherme Queirós scored 9-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Alberto Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Buturussu FC had played much better football throughout.
