After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C's Sidnei Abreu got a free kick in the 4th minute. São Paulo F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Luiz Fernando de Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position Vágner Gomes, making the score, 1-0. Pedro Valadares hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Mazinho Leite, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 15th minute, Remo Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes, São Paulo F.C's Sidnei Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovanni Bastos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Paulo F.C reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Sena during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Master Team AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Sidnei Abreu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Bastos skillfully saved the ball. Adrianinho Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Bastos having to interfere. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Vágner Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for São Paulo F.C! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Master Team AD's Mazinho Leite got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vágner Gomes. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vágner Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Flávio Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Master Team AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flávio Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute of the match Master Team AD got a corner. São Paulo F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mazinho Leite ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Master Team AD's Dida Bezerra got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando de Queiroz in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vágner Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vágner Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flávio Terra went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Betão Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flávio Terra took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vágner Gomes. Vágner Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Narciso Tinoco's late challenge caught a São Paulo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. Narciso Tinoco hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo F.C's zone, Flávio Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vágner Gomes came out of the goal and Flávio Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Master Team AD's goalkeeper Geovanni Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrianinho Urbano. Vágner Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to São Paulo F.C getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pedro Valadares hit a great ball. Master Team AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
