After some careless play in the São Paulo F.C defense, Luiz Guilherme Félix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vágner Gomes. The São Paulo F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vágner Gomes should have stopped the shot. Vágner Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Félix in the 35th minute of the match. Miritituba FC's Giovani Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Adrianinho Urbano made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Guilherme Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Vágner Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Giovani Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vágner Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Félix in the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, São Paulo F.C's Vágner Gomes got control of the ball when Giovani Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miritituba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Gomes having to interfere. Sidnei Abreu hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Miritituba FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than São Paulo F.C.
