Sílvio Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, BBEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st match minute, Buturussu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Duarte Rodrigues hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in BBEC's zone, Moisés Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Barreto came out of the goal and Moisés Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duarte Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moisés Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Barreto was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Moisés Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moisés Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 98th minute Duarte Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Buturussu FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BBEC throughout the match.
