Silas Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Nacional Futebol Alagoas got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Velloso. After 26 played minutes, Hiame UXX's Reginaldo Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silas Pernambucano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hiame UXX reached it. Chico Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Evaristo Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Silas Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington da Mata in the 40th minute of play forced Nacional Futebol Alagoas's goalkeeper Silas Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráusio Arósio made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Wellington da Mata fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Silas Pernambucano, passed just outside the right post. In the 53rdth minute of the game Wellington da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacional Futebol Alagoas's Silas Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wellington da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes in the game, Chico Faria fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Silas Pernambucano having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hiame UXX's Wellington da Mata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silas Pernambucano. That made the score 0-2 after 60 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Hiame UXX defense, Benjamin Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeferson Queirós. The Hiame UXX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeferson Queirós should have stopped the shot. Jeferson Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Arósio in the 69th minute of play. When Benjamin Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Nacional Futebol Alagoas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Coelho couldn't finish the play. Wellington da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Silas Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Silas Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Faria in the 81st minute. Oswaldo Fonseca hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Benjamin Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
