Paulinho Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruninho Leme did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Paulinho Maciel 10 minutes into the match. Bruninho Leme succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Paulinho Maciel made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Bruninho Leme sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Xv de piracicaba's Túlio Félix got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 23 played minutes Piraguara SS got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Massa. The supporters of Piraguara SS booed when Xv de piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cléberson Ortiz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Paulinho Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho das Neves in the 29th minute of the match. Agostinho das Neves made a great header on Piraguara SS's corner, it was just that Xv de piracicaba's Paulinho Maciel managed to reach the ball for a save. Túlio Félix hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience held their breath when Agostinho das Neves in the 67th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Paulinho Maciel's left hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Leme in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulinho Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Xv de piracicaba booed when Piraguara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Xv de piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Barreto. In the 77th minute, Rodolfo da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Ortiz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Adelino Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dênis Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Adelino Motta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dênis Queirós, passed just outside the right post. Edson Porto hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Piraguara SS's Dênis Queirós got control of the ball when Lauro Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
