José Carlos Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evandro Quadros's late challenge caught a Piraguara SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Piraguara SS booed when Moral JFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agostinho das Neves's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. If João Carlos Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Leme in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Percival Matos made a precise shot to the right of José Carlos Meireles. Moral JFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Percival Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Meireles having to interfere. A collision led to Moral JFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Leite hit a great ball. A beautiful save bye Moral JFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Leme in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Meireles saved Moral JFC from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruninho Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Agostinho das Neves put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of José Carlos Meireles. José Carlos Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Leme in the 56th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Leme in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Carlos Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Piraguara SS booed when Moral JFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Moral JFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Lara to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruninho Leme's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Bruninho Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moral JFC's José Carlos Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Agostinho das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Piraguara SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho das Neves couldn't finish the play. Moral JFC's João Carlos Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Fred Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piraguara SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Piraguara SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Moral JFC.
