After recieving a nice pass, Piassabussu's Dinei Mazza tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Piassabussu's Primeiro Torrecillas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silas Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silas Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Dráusio Arósio made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Torrecillas. Piassabussu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Nacional Futebol Alagoas's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Motta came free, but Silas Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes, Pedrinho Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nacional Futebol Alagoas and the Piassabussu players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primeiro Torrecillas couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Nacional Futebol Alagoas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Silas Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Primeiro Torrecillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Silas Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nacional Futebol Alagoas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when José Maria Motta 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dráusio Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Nacional Futebol Alagoas's Pedrinho Aparecido got a free kick in the 60th minute. If José Maria Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Motta in the 65th minute of play forced Nacional Futebol Alagoas's goalkeeper Silas Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isaltino Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nacional Futebol Alagoas getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Artur Carneiro hit a great ball. Dinei Mazza, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Primeiro Torrecillas scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silas Pernambucano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silas Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Cardoso in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, one of Nacional Futebol Alagoas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Piassabussu a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dinei Mazza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nacional Futebol Alagoas's Silas Pernambucano. 5-1. There was no doubt that Piassabussu were the better team. Piassabussu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
