Douglas Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Queirós having to interfere. The supporters of Galicioli F.C booed when Hiame UXX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Tasso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thiago Veloso. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Abreu was the one to do the kick off.
