Jeferson Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Motta in the 10th minute of the match. Isaltino Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaltino Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Piassabussu's Isaltino Cardoso got a free kick in the 11th minute. José Maria Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hiame UXX booed when Piassabussu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Moreno hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. José Maria Motta struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Jeferson Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piassabussu. If José Maria Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hiame UXX's zone, Primeiro Torrecillas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Queirós came out of the goal and Primeiro Torrecillas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primeiro Torrecillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, José Maria Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piassabussu's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Hiame UXX's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Motta came free, but Jeferson Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When José Maria Motta came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Piassabussu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Motta couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Motta to make the kick off. In the last second Eduardo Torrecillas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wellington da Mata in the 51stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Primeiro Torrecillas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piassabussu's supporters rose to their feet, but Primeiro Torrecillas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
