After 2 played minutes Leão Saturno S.C got a freekick which was hit by Willian Abraão. In the 5th minute, Carlos Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ezequiel das Neves. The goal made the score 1-0. Agnaldo Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, David Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Agnaldo Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Evaristo das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Carlos Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Juturnaiba FC booed when Leão Saturno S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute David Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Carlos Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leão Saturno S.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Almir Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Juturnaiba FC's zone, Anselmo Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel das Neves came out of the goal and Anselmo Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Carlos Queirós made the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Quirino might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezequiel das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Quirino ran back to his position shaking his head. Juturnaiba FC's Almir Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Leão Saturno S.C's Agnaldo Rossi got control of the ball when Almir Corrêa tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Anselmo Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Quirino in the 66th minute of play forced Juturnaiba FC's goalkeeper Ezequiel das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Juturnaiba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Queirós came free, but Ezequiel das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juturnaiba FC's Ezequiel das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Quirino in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th minute, David Cavalcante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Agnaldo Rossi. The goal made the score 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Anselmo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leão Saturno S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Carlos Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After a rather tough play, Juturnaiba FC's Luís Fernando Azevedo got a free kick in the 96th minute. Leão Saturno S.C's Carlos Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Leão Saturno S.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
