Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5518, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elder Melo got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, C.A.Universidad dos Raios's Thomás Rezende got a free kick in the 3rd minute. José Pedro Eger made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Geovani Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Elder Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of José Pedro Eger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of C.A.Universidad dos Raios booed when Lorena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Eger having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Elder Melo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Pedro Eger. The goal made the score 1-1. When Elder Melo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Lorena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Melo couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Clóvis Freire took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for José Pedro Eger to make any attempt to save it. Davi Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Lorena's Elder Melo in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.Universidad dos Raios's goalie prevented a goal. When Clóvis Freire came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lorena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Freire couldn't finish the play. Elder Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

C.A.Universidad dos Raios's José Pedro Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Melo in the 53rd minute of play. José Pedro Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Júlio Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Universidad dos Raios's goalkeeper José Pedro Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Davi Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elder Melo took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Pedro Eger. José Pedro Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Lorena's Yuri Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Moreira in the 75th minute of play. Kiko Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davi Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Clóvis Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Rosa hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, C.A.Universidad dos Raios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Brodel to maneuver through the defense. When Kiko Prata fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lorena's protests and gave Kiko Prata a yellow card for diving instead. 96 minutes into the match, Lorena's goalkeeper Yuri Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Moreira. C.A.Universidad dos Raios's Leandro Bittencourt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 100th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yuri Falcão but with some difficulty. There was no doubt that Lorena were the better team. Lorena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
