Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Durval Maranhense started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eusébio Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Tande having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Durval Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. THUNDER FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alexandre Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson Vergílio hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Tiago Gabriel Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pulinopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Botelho couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Perivaldo Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Maranhense in the 33rd minute of play. THUNDER FC's Perivaldo Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Botelho in the 34th minute of play. If Durval Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pulinopolis's Eusébio Paes in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye THUNDER FC's goalie prevented a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in THUNDER FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Pulinopolis. Manfredo Neiva stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Perivaldo Tande. 0-1. After the first half Pulinopolis were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Paes was the one to do the kick off. If Durval Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Alexandre Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THUNDER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, THUNDER FC's Durval Maranhense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edu Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Brito in the 67th minute of play forced Pulinopolis's goalkeeper Edu Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Leonardo Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pulinopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THUNDER FC the free kick. A collision led to Pulinopolis getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Leonardo Baptista hit a great ball. THUNDER FC's Durval Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edu Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Brito in the 72nd minute of the match. Edu Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by THUNDER FC's Durval Maranhense. But to his dismay, Durval Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Durval Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Gabriel Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Tande having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Botelho in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Perivaldo Tande, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 90 minutes into the game, Eusébio Paes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Perivaldo Tande. Eusébio Paes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, Pulinopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Brito came free, but Edu Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateus Diniz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, THUNDER FC's Paulinho Senna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
