With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio de Queiroz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Coxilha FC's Luís Fábio Nascimento shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Caio de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Remo Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coxilha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taboca the free kick. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisinho Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Taboca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ramiro Viana scored to the left of an out of position Caio de Queiroz, making the score, 0-2. In the 57th minute Ricardinho Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Sousa's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The Taboca fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Taboca's Alexandre Sousa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Ricardinho Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caio de Queiroz was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Taboca's Caio de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Taboca from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Luís Fábio Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
