After a rather tough play, Desgraça FC's Cássio Vergílio got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Wágner Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Falcão. Lorena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Silas Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lorena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silas Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silas Marinho's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Silas Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yuri Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Yuri Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Matheus Gustav hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Adriano de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lorena. Silas Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Desgraça FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clóvis Freire fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Silas Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Yuri Falcão made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gustavo Coelho sent off a good shot on target. Yuri Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Tinoco in the 58th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Silas Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lorena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Cléberson Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Adriano de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorena were furious when Clóvis Freire was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Capixaba in the 79th minute of play forced Desgraça FC's goalkeeper Adriano de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
