Luís Fábio Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Perivaldo Tande made a huge save. If Alexandre Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Nilson Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Perivaldo Tande. Ricardinho Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Vicente Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Maranhense in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Coxilha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Maranhense came free, but Vicente Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coxilha FC's Vicente Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Maranhense in the 32nd minute of play. Durval Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Rodrigo Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coxilha FC's Remo Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Luís Fábio Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Coxilha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Luís Fábio Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coxilha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 63 played minutes Coxilha FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Cordeiro. If Durval Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind THUNDER FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute Durval Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. THUNDER FC's Durval Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 74 in the game by Alexandre Brito from a close distance when the talented Vicente Faria managed to make a qualified save. Coxilha FC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Durval Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. THUNDER FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fábio Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perivaldo Tande having to make a save. In the 83rd match minute, Coxilha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Baptista's late challenge caught a Coxilha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. Mauro Baptista hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Ricardinho Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Tande having to interfere. Coxilha FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
