Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Durval Maranhense started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Crisopolis's Luisinho Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Maranhense in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, THUNDER FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo Meira. Matheus Brito hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Celso Cerezo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perivaldo Tande having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Cerezo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Maria de Salles struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Perivaldo Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crisopolis. Zézinho Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perivaldo Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The wind increased when Celso Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Cerezo in the 54th minute of play forced THUNDER FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Juarês Quirino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Perivaldo Tande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Celso Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Baptista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisinho Pitta. That made the score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Celso Cerezo sped through THUNDER FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Perivaldo Tande. Alexandre Brito took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisinho Pitta. Luisinho Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Crisopolis were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
