José Carlos Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Walmir Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. José Carlos Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dé Perez came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Fortaleza FA's Ricardinho Mineiro. But to his dismay, Ricardinho Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Fortaleza FA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
