In the 13th minute Sidney Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredão Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Amorim in the 15th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Aílton Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa and the Jararaita AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Costa got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Barreto. Jararaita AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Sidney Melo scored to the left of an out of position Flávio Bezerra, making the score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Vinhas in the 30th minute of play forced Jararaita AD's goalkeeper Flávio Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Sidney Melo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flávio Bezerra. The goal made the score 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Flávio Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauã Braga's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Jararaita AD's Flávio Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Braga in the 54th minute of play. Valdomiro Vinhas's late challenge caught a Jararaita AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdomiro Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Costa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. After 63 minutes of play, Costa's Valdomiro Vinhas made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 74th minute, Aílton Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio Bezerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After 80 played minutes Jararaita AD got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Soares. The supporters of Jararaita AD booed when Costa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Antunes's late challenge caught a Jararaita AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Braga in the 92nd minute of play forced Jararaita AD's goalkeeper Flávio Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Valdomiro Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Sidney Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Bezerra. Jararaita AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Melo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. There was no doubt that Costa were the better team. Costa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
