After 2 played minutes Atlético Araçatuba got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Jacinto. Décio Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Alvarenga having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, one of Jararaita AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Flávio Bezerra, was totally fooled by Atlético Araçatuba's José Maria Massa, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jararaita AD's Flávio Bezerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Jararaita AD from getting a goal against them. Bebeto Nóbrega took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Bezerra. Flávio Bezerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 16th minute, Matheus Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Décio Amorim notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Atlético Araçatuba's Artur Alvarenga. Artur Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Luís Eduardo Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Araçatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Eduardo Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes, Oséas Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jararaita AD and the Atlético Araçatuba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oséas Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Lago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flávio Bezerra came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Eduardo Lago slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Nóbrega got free with Flávio Bezerra in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute, Bebeto Nóbrega fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Flávio Bezerra, passed just outside the right post. Flávio Bezerra was a little too slow when Luís Eduardo Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luís Eduardo Lago made the kick off in the second half. Atlético Araçatuba's Miguel Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Eduardo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Atlético Araçatuba's Luís Eduardo Lago in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 84 played minutes Atlético Araçatuba got a freekick which was hit by Davi Proença. 86 minutes into the match, Jararaita AD's Alfredinho Araújo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jararaita AD's zone, Luís Eduardo Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Bezerra came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Jararaita AD getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Bruno Costa hit a great ball. If Luís Eduardo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
