Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sidney Varela kicked off to start the match. Emerson Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Teixeira having to interfere. In the 3rd minute, Cipriano Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paulo Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Kauan Teixeira made a huge save. Hamílton Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Léo Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hamílton Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Goiano in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Elite F.C defense, Hamílton Goiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Léo Hermes. The Elite F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Léo Hermes should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Hamílton Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in The Inquisitorial Monkeys's zone, Emerson Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kauan Teixeira came out of the goal and Emerson Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emerson Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauan Teixeira came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Elite F.C's Emerson Macedo. But to his dismay, Emerson Macedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Hamílton Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Léo Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elite F.C's Léo Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Varela in the 46th minute of play. Emerson Macedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kauan Teixeira came out and tried to block the shot, but Emerson Macedo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Macedo was the one to do the kick off. Léo Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Varela in the 56th minute of play. Hamílton Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Hermes having to interfere. Cipriano Tasso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Léo Hermes came out and tried to block the shot, but Cipriano Tasso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 60th minute. José Paulo Rosa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Kauan Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elite F.C. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Varela in the 70th minute of play forced Elite F.C's goalkeeper Léo Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Macedo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauan Teixeira saved The Inquisitorial Monkeys from getting behind. Emerson Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Kauan Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauan Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, The Inquisitorial Monkeys's Cipriano Tasso got a free kick in the 77th minute. Kauan Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Macedo in the 81st minute of play. Luisinho Capixaba's late challenge caught a The Inquisitorial Monkeys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisinho Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. 99 minutes into the match, Elite F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Varela came free, but Léo Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
