Teodoro Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yan Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, ESCOLHIDOS FOOT. CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Veloso came free, but Teodoro Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pato F.C's Luís Gustavo Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pato F.C's zone, Fernandinho Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Cunha came out of the goal and Fernandinho Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Jorge Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Brasil made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pato F.C's zone, Fernandinho Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Cunha came out of the goal and Fernandinho Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, ESCOLHIDOS FOOT. CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo Vieira came free, but Teodoro Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Cunha having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Jorge Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Gustavo Vieira's late challenge caught a ESCOLHIDOS FOOT. CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Gustavo Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Pato F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Vieira. If Fernandinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Jorge Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.
