To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Pussycat Dolls's Luan Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Thomás Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benigno Michael stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
