Filipe Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Schmidt in the 19th minute. Oséas Lago hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Natanael Aparecido, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Arenosa's André Luiz Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Pena in the 27th minute of play. Tomás Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Vasconcelos having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Oséas Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PES United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arenosa the free kick. After 33 played minutes PES United got a freekick which was hit by Oséas Lago. Filipe Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Tomás Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Arenosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Luiz de Almeida sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arenosa's André Luiz Neto didn't even have to move. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. Arenosa's André Luiz Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Arenosa from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute Gonçalo do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 59 minutes, Gonçalo do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo do Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Yuri Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. André Luiz Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Pena in the 66th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Arenosa got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho de Andrade. Yuri Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. André Luiz Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Arenosa's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Pena came free, but André Luiz Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luiz Neto having to interfere. If Thiago Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Arenosa failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
