When Umberto Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BERTHOLDO. FC's protests and gave Umberto Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. Umberto Bastos hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, BERTHOLDO. FC's goalkeeper Giovanni Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Valle. If Alfredão Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BERTHOLDO. FC's Zeca Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Zeca Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the BERTHOLDO. FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeca Lopez couldn't finish the play. Alfredão Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enio Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. Nico Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enio Toledo. The wind increased when Walmir Arruda made the kick off in the second half. Zeca Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeca Lopez in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enio Toledo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Giovanni Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Valle in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ivape's zone, Zeca Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Toledo came out of the goal and Zeca Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th match minute, BERTHOLDO. FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Alfredão Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Enio Toledo made a huge save. Zeca Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Enio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredão Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, BERTHOLDO. FC's Umberto Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enio Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Arruda in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredão Queiroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enio Toledo having to make a save. After having played for 91 minutes, Alfredão Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BERTHOLDO. FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Valle in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ivape fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BERTHOLDO. FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
