The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Calango Feio's Tales Sena got a free kick in the 7th minute. Beto Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori França having to interfere. Fiori França stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto Linares's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Beto Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Linares in the 19th minute of play forced Calango Feio's goalkeeper Fiori França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Beto Linares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fiori França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd match minute, Calango Feio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Fiori França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Linares in the 24th minute of play. If Hortêncio da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Calango Feio! Silvinho Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eliézer Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silvinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Calango Feio's Silvinho Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Chapadas FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Linares was the one to do the kick off. Silvinho Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Brodel having to interfere. Tales Sena got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tales Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Beto Linares came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Chapadas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Linares couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Silvinho Lopes notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Chapadas FC's Eliézer Brodel. Eliézer Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Silvinho Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calango Feio's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dalmo Vasconcelos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Silvinho Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elias Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Brodel having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Teodoro Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calango Feio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chapadas FC booed when Calango Feio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliézer Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Lopes in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Calango Feio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Lopes to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Calango Feio players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
