The Ducks Sport Club's Luís Fábio Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Arruda in the 20th minute of play. Washington Diniz in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enio Toledo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anselmo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Washington Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes The Ducks Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Rossi. The audience was convinced that Thiago Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fábio Torres was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. When César Melo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Ducks Sport Club's protests and gave César Melo a yellow card for diving instead. 42 minutes into the match, Ivape's Walmir Arruda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fábio Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to The Ducks Sport Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Aníbal Soeiro hit a great ball. If Walmir Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmir Arruda made a kick off. Luís Fábio Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Maurinho Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Ducks Sport Club's protests and gave Maurinho Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to The Ducks Sport Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Maurinho Gaspar hit a great ball. Osmar Macedo made a great header on Ivape's corner, it was just that The Ducks Sport Club's Luís Fábio Torres managed to reach the ball for a save. The Ducks Sport Club were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Ivape's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcinho Santana took the corner. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes The Ducks Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Santana. When the referee ended the match the The Ducks Sport Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
