After having played for 12 minutes, José Paulo Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 played minutes Beto Linares rounded CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 25 played minutes Chapadas FC got a freekick which was hit by Beto Linares. In the 29th minute José Paulo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Túlio Passos came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the CHUTE NO SACO F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Passos couldn't finish the play. Hortêncio da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Aparecido having to interfere. CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s Tadeu Aparecido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save CHUTE NO SACO F.C. from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Hortêncio da Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tadeu Aparecido. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Passos in the 47th minute of play forced Chapadas FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Túlio Passos notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Chapadas FC's Eliézer Brodel. Eliézer Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Beto Linares made the kick off in the second half. Nico Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Chapadas FC booed when CHUTE NO SACO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Aparecido having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Beto Linares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luiz Fábio de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CHUTE NO SACO F.C.'s protests and gave Luiz Fábio de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Renato Galvão, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
