The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, THE PHOENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Aparecido came free, but Jorge Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. THE PHOENIX's Jorge Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês do Nascimento in the 7th minute of play. Jorge Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês do Nascimento in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, THE PHOENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Souza came free, but Jorge Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelsinho Souza in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Rocha saved THE PHOENIX from getting behind. Vladimiro Eleder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Lopes in the 13th minute of the match. Nelsinho Souza succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Diamantino Machado could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Vladimiro Eleder however easily saved by the left post. THE PHOENIX's Jorge Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Tullio in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes THE PHOENIX got a freekick which was hit by Anderson do Nascimento. Jorge Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Castro in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Juarês do Nascimento notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of THE PHOENIX's Jorge Rocha. Jorge Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Lopes during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, THE PHOENIX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Timéko FC's zone, Diamantino Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Eleder came out of the goal and Diamantino Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. THE PHOENIX's Jorge Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Souza in the 40th minute of play. Jorge Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês do Nascimento in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Timéko FC's zone, Angelo Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Eleder came out of the goal and Angelo Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Lopes in the 47th minute of play forced Timéko FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Tomé Paulista put in a rough tackle. 56 minutes into the game, one of Timéko FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 69 minutes, Eriberto Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THE PHOENIX and the Timéko FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes THE PHOENIX got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Penha. In the 73rd minute Diego Tullio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to THE PHOENIX getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Juan Passos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Glauco Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timéko FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. THE PHOENIX's Jorge Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Tullio in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Timéko FC's Sílvio Luiz Aparecido dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Glauco Castro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Jorge Rocha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Timéko FC's Diego Tullio got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Timéko FC's Juarês do Nascimento in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jorge Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Tullio went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 97th minute, Gláuber Breckenfeld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timéko FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
