Meriti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Juarês do Nascimento scored to the left of an out of position Téo Rezende, making the score, 2-3. Nelsinho Souza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Téo Rezende firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Timéko FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nelsinho Souza hit a great ball. Téo Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelsinho Souza in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glauco Castro got free with Téo Rezende in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Téo Rezende was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sílvio Luiz Aparecido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 78 minute of play. Juarês do Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Téo Rezende having to make a save. When Sílvio Luiz Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Timéko FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Aparecido couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Timéko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Cosme came free, but Vladimiro Eleder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Meriti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Timéko FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Timéko FC.
