Benjamim Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisão Messias having to make a save. Luís Fernando Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Messias having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
