Tiaguinho Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Saldanha having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Velasco made a kick off. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuaruIbis F.C's goalkeeper Ricardo Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Guilherme Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Bastos didn't quite understand what happened when in the 70 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.
