An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Luz in the 7th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Henrique Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Mafia Blue FC's Ediberto Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 27 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Silva. 36 minutes into the match, Mafia Blue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Perez came free, but Tony Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeca Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Silva was the one to do the kick off. If Zeca Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeca Silva scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Leme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Mafia Blue FC's zone, Ronaldinho Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Leme came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Zeca Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mafia Blue FC's Tony Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mafia Blue FC's goalkeeper Tony Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Mafia Blue FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. João Francisco Cerezo hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes, Borussia Dortmund's Bruno Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Leme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borussia Dortmund reached it. Henrique Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mafia Blue FC's Tony Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Alvarenga in the 82nd minute of play. Dino Luz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Henrique Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mafia Blue FC. Tony Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Perez in the 90th minute of play. Emílio Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. After 96 minutes, Ediberto Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mafia Blue FC and the Borussia Dortmund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ediberto Rosado hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
