Guilherme Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Pitta having to interfere. After a rather tough play, TuDi FC's Luan Custódio got a free kick in the 6th minute. Dino Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruy Pitta. TuDi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of GuaruIbis F.C booed when TuDi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Olívio Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in GuaruIbis F.C's zone, Amadeu Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Saldanha came out of the goal and Amadeu Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Toninho Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruy Pitta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Lira in the 33rd minute of play forced TuDi FC's goalkeeper Ruy Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guilherme Velasco's late challenge caught a TuDi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes GuaruIbis F.C got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Velasco. Olívio Salgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olívio Salgado ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to TuDi FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bebeto Torres hit a great ball. TuDi FC's Ruy Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Velasco in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Zanette to make the kick off. GuaruIbis F.C's Ricardo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Zanette in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of TuDi FC booed when GuaruIbis F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Olívio Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, GuaruIbis F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Zanette came free, but Ricardo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TuDi FC's Amadeu Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olívio Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TuDi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while GuaruIbis F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
