CGMS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in CGMS FC's zone, Doriva Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazinho Alves came out of the goal and Doriva Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizinho Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Hélder Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Cachos got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel de Barros. CGMS FC's Caco Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Cachos's protests and gave Noel Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
