After some careless play in the Cachos defense, Telmo Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Loureiro. The Cachos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Marcinho Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Edgar Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Telmo Correia struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Edgar Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barreirinha FC. When Dé Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Cachos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé Gomes couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Noel Quadros during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Cachos got a freekick which was hit by Noel Quadros. The crowd rose to their feet as Barreirinha FC's Marcinho Toscano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgar Loureiro. That made the score 3-0 after 45 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcinho Toscano made a kick off. Luís Fernando Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fernando Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dé Gomes in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lance Porter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 81 played minutes Barreirinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto de Salles. Hélder Trigo, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dé Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Lance Porter made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcinho Toscano in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Loureiro saved Cachos from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Telmo Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barreirinha FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
