Atlético Boludos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barreirinha FC the free kick. A collision led to Atlético Boludos getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Zé Paulo Bueno hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto de Salles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Róbson Aguiar. Atlético Boludos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Barreirinha FC's goalkeeper Lance Porter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mümin Oral. When Diego Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barreirinha FC's protests and gave Diego Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Barreirinha FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gilmar Bertassi hit a great ball. Lance Porter acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mattias Hökkvist. Mümin Oral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Lance Porter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th match minute, Atlético Boludos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Mazza to maneuver through the defense. If Marcinho Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Válter Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Paulo Bueno was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zé Paulo Bueno hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nayely Espinar during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Boludos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Barreirinha FC a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Alberto de Salles, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Boludos's Róbson Aguiar. 0-1. Atlético Boludos's Róbson Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Toscano in the 35th minute of play. Luisinho Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Atlético Boludos got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Tepedino.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcinho Toscano was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barreirinha FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Mümin Oral sped through Barreirinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lance Porter. Mümin Oral struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Lance Porter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Boludos. Mümin Oral might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Porter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mümin Oral ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Mümin Oral made a precise shot to the right of Lance Porter. Barreirinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Mümin Oral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Mümin Oral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lance Porter was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Atlético Boludos's Mümin Oral got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Atlético Boludos were the better team. Atlético Boludos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
