Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcinho Toscano in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazinho Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nando Almeida during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes CGMS FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Almeida. Lance Porter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caco Martins in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Caco Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CGMS FC's Mazinho Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Toscano in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Mazinho Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Correia in the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Barreirinha FC's Lance Porter got control of the ball when Dário da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee gave Nando Almeida a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 79th minute, Nando Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes CGMS FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Magalhães. Antônio Pires's late challenge caught a CGMS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Pires helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CGMS FC booed when Barreirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telmo Correia hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Barreirinha FC's goalkeeper Lance Porter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário da Mata. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CGMS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
