With a little luck, CGMS FC's Mazinho Alves got control of the ball when Eriberto Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, fodder's goal looked a bit too open when Dário da Mata came free, but Norberto Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Chico Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the fodder and the CGMS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chico Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dário da Mata struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Norberto Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CGMS FC. In the 24th match minute, fodder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Moraes to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes fodder got a freekick which was hit by Tales Hoffmann. Eriberto Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Alves having to interfere. After 39 played minutes CGMS FC got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton Rezende. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Martins in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Norberto Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CGMS FC booed when fodder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizinho Marques, 49 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Toscano made a kick off. Dário da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Viana having to interfere. Caco Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Caco Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Vale was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th match minute, fodder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Vale to maneuver through the defense. Caco Martins had several of the fodder's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Norberto Viana as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 69th minute Nando Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dário da Mata in the 74th minute. If Dário da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, fodder's Renato Moraes got a free kick in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caco Martins in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Viana saved fodder from getting behind. When CGMS FC's Caco Martins in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye fodder's goalie prevented a goal. Dário da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Norberto Viana made a huge save.
