Leonel Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Michel Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the BRAGA fans jumped to their feet. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márcio Duarte to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cenac fc's zone, Silvinho Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Vidal came out of the goal and Silvinho Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
