The supporters of Clube Atlético Lençoense booed when Congonhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Lençoense's Caco de Senna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laerte Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Clube Atlético Lençoense fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Clube Atlético Lençoense's Caco de Senna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 42 minutes, Arlindo de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Congonhas and the Clube Atlético Lençoense players grew even worse after the yellow card. The wind increased when Caetano Martins made the kick off in the second half. Laerte Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Iuri Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caco de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Vieira having to interfere. Rubinho Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Martins in the 72nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Congonhas's Laerte Vieira got control of the ball when Iuri Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caco de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Didi Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubinho Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Martins in the 95th minute of the match. Iuri Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Laerte Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
