Spectators: 7167 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 90) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Betão Freitas got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Crobas FC booed when Butio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Váldson Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Teixeira having to interfere. Váldson Alves might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manfredo Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Váldson Alves ran back to his position shaking his head. Crobas FC's Willian Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Freitas in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim Donatello got free with Willian Vale in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the game, Serginho Secco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Manfredo Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Crobas FC's Willian Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Crobas FC from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Crobas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Queirós came free, but Willian Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Betão Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfredo Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Secco in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Crobas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serginho Secco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Serginho Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crobas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamim Donatello struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Willian Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Butio.
