Spectators: 7294 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 70) Sandro de Lara started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Tesoura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baba Figo to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Diguinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ediberto Peres did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Kaká Pinheiro 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Antônio de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tesoura's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaká Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Atlético BR's Vladimir Messias got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Fonseca in the 20th minute of play forced Tesoura's goalkeeper Tomé Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Laércio Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Atlético BR defense, Sandro de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Pinheiro. The Atlético BR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Atlético BR's goalkeeper Kaká Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandro de Lara. Kaká Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Peres in the 28th minute of play. Sandro de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaká Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro de Lara in the 33rd minute. Kaká Pinheiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Alberto de Medeiros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Sandro de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ediberto Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kaká Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ediberto Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Fonseca to make the kick off. Ediberto Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Atlético BR's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Neves came free, but Kaká Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro de Lara in the 56th minute of play forced Atlético BR's goalkeeper Kaká Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tesoura's Carlos Alberto de Medeiros pulled a muscle in his leg after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Raphael Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Atlético BR got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Fonseca. In the 60th match minute, Atlético BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atlético BR getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Diguinho Maranhense hit a great ball. When Sandro de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Tesoura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro de Lara couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Atlético BR booed when Tesoura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaká Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Sandro de Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Kaká Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Tesoura's Richard Cunha got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The audience was convinced that Sandro de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaká Pinheiro was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio Esteves got free with Tomé Schmidt in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaká Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Tesoura's Sandro de Lara. But to his dismay, Sandro de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 96th minute, Ediberto Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tesoura walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
