After having played for 11 minutes, João Augusto Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acácio Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 38 played minutes, Expresso Antares FC's Álvaro Quirino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Massa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Expresso Antares FC reached it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cássio da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. After 54th play minutes Hélder Hoffmann shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Acácio Massa and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee ignored Expresso Antares FC's protests and gave Ademar Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's Ademar Quadros got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Acácio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 84th minute of play. Hélder Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Massa having to interfere. The Expresso Antares FC fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Expresso Antares FC's Hélder Hoffmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
