The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Marcos Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Edvaldo Moraes could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Romeu Velasco however easily saved by the left post. Romeu Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Tinoco in the 14th minute of play. Hílton Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Medeiros in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Pussy getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Betão Cunha hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Ademar Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pussy's Hílton Torres didn't even have to move. When Márcio Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pussy's protests and gave Márcio Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Curva de Rio booed when Pussy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tiago Gabriel Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvaldo Moraes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeu Velasco. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Jano Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Torres having to interfere. Pussy's Cleiton Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Curva de Rio's Marcos Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel Tinoco in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the game, Tiago Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curva de Rio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pussy the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Curva de Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 60th minute, Jano Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Moraes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Romeu Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pussy. 68 minutes into the match, Curva de Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Tinoco came free, but Romeu Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hílton Torres made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jano Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. When Jânio Leite fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pussy's protests and gave Jânio Leite a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pussy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jânio Leite hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Gabriel Tinoco in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Velasco saved Curva de Rio from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Tiago Gabriel Tinoco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jânio Leite got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Pussy getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jânio Leite hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Cleiton Matorin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeu Velasco. Curva de Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleiton Matorin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 92nd match minute, Pussy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Pussy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Curva de Rio for a fine match.
