The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Percival Prado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Romeu Velasco, 1-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Marcos Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curva de Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Predadores da Bola's Alberto Quirino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu Velasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Quirino in the 20th minute. If Marcos Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Percival Prado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeu Velasco having to make a save. In the 30th minute, Tiago Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Claudinei Zonta from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Romeu Velasco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Prado in the 36th minute of play forced Curva de Rio's goalkeeper Romeu Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dadá Secco hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes Curva de Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zézinho Saraiva who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Prado in the 41st minute of play forced Curva de Rio's goalkeeper Romeu Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Romeu Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Curva de Rio's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alberto Quirino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alberto Quirino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Romeu Velasco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Marcos Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curva de Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luan Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Arruda struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Luan Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curva de Rio. Lúcio Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Jano Medeiros in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Moraes in the 60th minute of play forced Predadores da Bola's goalkeeper Luan Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Percival Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Predadores da Bola's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Quirino in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiago Moraes hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alberto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, Curva de Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Quirino in the 78th minute of play forced Curva de Rio's goalkeeper Romeu Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curva de Rio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Curva de Rio:s Romeu Velasco showed great skill when he stopped Zézinho Saraiva:s penalty. Falcão da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Romeu Velasco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Percival Prado's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Alberto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Quirino in the 91st minute of play forced Curva de Rio's goalkeeper Romeu Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Prado in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Alberto Quirino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeu Velasco. Curva de Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Quirino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
