Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cauã Matos kicked off to start the match. Amílton Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauã Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Joanesia AD's Paulo José Abreu got control of the ball when João Augusto Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Eger hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Joanesia AD's zone, Hélder Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Abreu came out of the goal and Hélder Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Quirino during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Expresso Antares FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Quirino. João Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Amílton Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo José Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. João Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Amílton Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Expresso Antares FC's Pedro Rocha made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo José Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ademar Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Expresso Antares FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Quadros couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Joanesia AD getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gláuber Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match, João Augusto Negri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo José Abreu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Amílton Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Eger in the 56th minute. When Joanesia AD's Cauã Matos in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Expresso Antares FC's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo José Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 69th minute of play. Expresso Antares FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hélder Hoffmann in the 70th minute. A nice corner shot did that Hélder Hoffmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo José Abreu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. João Eger hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Hélder Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Paulo José Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joanesia AD's goalkeeper Paulo José Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
