The audience was convinced that Bebeto Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Velasco was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Tiago do Vale hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ademar Viana struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Geraldo das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curva de Rio. In the 79th minute, Marcos Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Jano Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curva de Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Ademar Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cido Falcão took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Velasco. Romeu Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Curva de Rio's Jano Medeiros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Geraldo das Neves. That made the score 2-1 after 89 minutes of play. A collision led to Aos Trancos E Barrancos getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. José Maria de Andrade hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jano Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curva de Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curva de Rio players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aos Trancos E Barrancos.
