The wind increased when Marcos Arruda made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jano Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amauri Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Romeu Velasco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Amauri Cunha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 90th minute, Bebeto Leão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeu Velasco. The goal made the score 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Curva de Rio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aos Trancos E Barrancos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
